Notifications and editing
Notifications need to be handled carefully when editing articles. If you create and article and set up notifications for it, and then edit the article before those notifications have been sent, the edit article's notifications will be cancelled and new ones created for the new version. However, if you edit an article after its notifications have been sent, unless you turn off any notification options, new notifications will be created and sent for the new version of the article.
